The moment of your ~wildest dreams~ is fast approaching, Singapore-bound Swifties!
As the Lion City leg of the Eras Tour inches closer, we prepared a special guide for you so that you can enjoy Taylor Swift’s only concert stop in Southeast Asia to the fullest! Are you…ready for it? Let’s go!
What To Pack (a.k.a. Your Concert Essentials)
First things first—your concert bag. You might be wondering if the Singapore National Stadium is also implementing a clear bag policy for The Eras Tour concertgoers. Well, it’s not, but do make sure that your bag is within the dimensions of 35 cm x 20 cm x 30 cm.
This size allows you to carry the most important items you will need for the show:
- Concert ticket
- Mobile phone
- Powerbank and connector
- Wallet
- Transportation Pass (i.e. EZ-Link card)
On concert day, internet connectivity is also essential so you can stay in tune with the latest updates about the show. So before you fly out of the country, you might want to rent a pocket-sized Wi-Fi device to enjoy easy access to the internet throughout your trip.
Big Sky Nation—the #1 Travel Connectivity Provider in the world based on verified customer reviews and ratings—offers you affordable Wi-Fi products that can accommodate up to five (5) devices. Check out your options here now!
What To Wear
You’ve probably got your concert #OOTD all planned out as soon as you scored your ticket, but if you haven’t yet, it would be wise to opt for an ensemble that is both fashionable and comfortable, especially since Singapore’s hot and humid weather can make or break your whole look!
Swifties who’ve attended The Eras Tour would usually go for Taylor’s signature sparkly outfits—from tinsel-fringed dresses to sequined bodysuits. Meanwhile, others would dress up in meme-worthy costumes, referencing lyrics or newsy events from the singer’s well-decorated career.
Ultimately, the choice is up to you! And if you’re stuck, or in need of ideas to start with, Pinterest is your friend. *wink, wink*
How To Get To The Singapore National Stadium
With Singapore’s efficient public transport system, commuting to the Singapore National Stadium is fairly easy, regardless of where you’re coming from. Here are your options:
Via MRT (Mass Rapid Transit)
Take the Circle Line (CC6) and step down at Stadium Station. From the exit, you will easily spot signs leading you to the direction of the concert venue.
Via Bus
There are several buses that stop near the Singapore National Stadium. But if you are looking for a direct bus, take the one departing from Esplanade Bridge that stops at Opp Natl Stadium. This trip takes some 12 minutes, and allows you to enjoy a bit of sightseeing along the way!
Via Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service
If you have some dollars to spare for the sake of ease and comfort, you may opt to take a taxi or book a car using a ride-hailing app like Grab or Gojek to make your way to the stadium hassle-free.
Passing Time Before The Concert
It’s advisable for you to be at the concert venue at least two to three hours before the concert starts. This will give you enough time to find your designated gate and seat, and even make friends with fellow Swifties before the show starts!
But if you are keen on going even earlier, there are some fun (and smart) things you can do to pass time:
- Exchange friendship bracelets
- Purchase exclusive merch
- Snap commemorative photos before the concert crowd gets denser
- Take advantage of short queues at the washrooms to freshen up
- Grab snacks to fuel up for the rest of the night
Sing Your Heart Out
Finally—Taylor Swift welcomes you to The Eras Tour and begins her opening set with Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince! This is IT. Don’t hold back and sing (or cry) your heart out to the songs that inspired you or touched your heart on another level. You won’t get to turn back time, so make every second of this concert count!
Join An Afterparty
Even before D-Day, look up some afterparties being organized in the city that you might want to join.
Although optional, attending an afterparty gives you the opportunity to relive the highlights of your evening with Taylor Swift in the company of fans over good food and drinks and more music! We don’t know about you, but this might just be the best post-concert nightcap you can get!
Stay connected to high-speed internet with your own travel Wi-Fi device from Big Sky Nation, the #1 Travel Connectivity Provider in the world based on verified customer reviews and ratings. For as low as 190 PHP, you get to rent a portable travel Wi-Fi device that can accommodate up to five (5) devices. Check out more options here!
